About Panova Animal Hospital

Some veterinary clinics just treat pets. At Panova Animal Hospital, we get to know them—from their care needs to their place in your family. Because, at our veterinary hospital in Fountain Valley, CA, we believe the best care starts with real relationships, real trust, and real communication.

A Legacy of Care, Reimagined

This location has been serving the Fountain Valley community for over four decades. Through different names and different doctors, it has remained a place where local families bring the animals they love most. When Dr. Roman Pan took ownership in 2026, he didn’t walk in to start over—he walked in to carry that legacy forward.

Today, as Panova Animal Hospital, we’re honoring that history by raising the standard of neighborhood veterinary care. That means up-to-date medical protocols, a more personal approach to treatment planning, and a team culture built around accountability, compassion, and growth.

We treat dogs and cats from Fountain Valley and across Orange County, including Huntington Beach, Westminster, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, and beyond. We’re proud to be the kind of clinic people drive a little farther to reach—because they know it is worth it.

Who We Are

Panova Animal Hospital is independently owned and operated by Dr. Roman Pan, a veterinarian whose path to ownership was shaped by a rotating internship, years of clinical experience, and an unwavering belief that every patient deserves a treatment plan designed for them—not a textbook.

Dr. Pan’s internship background sets him apart from many general practitioners. He’s comfortable managing complex diagnostics and advanced treatments that often get referred out to other clinics. When we can keep your pet’s care in-house, we do. When a specialist is the right choice, we’ll tell you honestly and help you get there.

Our team shares that same commitment. When you come to Panova, you’ll see familiar faces who already know your pet’s name.

What We Believe

Our approach to veterinary medicine is best summed up in one phrase: we treat your pets like family. This comes from the heart.

It means we listen before we prescribe. It means we explain every recommendation in plain language and respect your right to make informed decisions. It means we design treatment plans around your pet’s individual situation—not just their symptoms—and we factor in your circumstances, too. We’re not a “my way or the highway” practice. We’re partners.

Our core values guide everything we do:

Personalized Care

Integrity

We're honest about what we find, what we recommend, and what it will cost. No surprises, no pressure.

Compassion

We show up for our patients—and their families—with genuine empathy at every appointment.

Humility

K

We know what we know, and we know what we don't. When a case calls for a specialist, we say so.

Transparency

K

You'll always understand what's happening with your pet and why. We welcome questions.

Low Stress, Focused Care

Many of our staff are proud to be Fear Free certified—a designation that reflects how seriously we take your pet’s emotional well-being, not just their physical health.

Having Fear Free certified staff means our team is trained to recognize and reduce anxiety, fear, and stress during veterinary visits. From the way we handle your pet to the flow of each appointment, we make intentional choices designed to keep your pet calm and comfortable.

A relaxed pet is also a safer, more cooperative patient. Fear Free care isn’t just kinder; it leads to better exams, more accurate readings, and outcomes that reflect your pet’s true health—not their anxiety.
